Elizabeth is a social entrepreneur and the founder of Lelapa. In 2015 she co-founded LelapaFund, an equity crowdfunding platform focused on East Africa, with Jerry Crossan. LelapaFund’s regulatory challenges led her to establish the African Crowdfunding Association along with other platforms and drive the regulatory agenda. She also leads Women in African Investments (“WAI Group”), a peer-to-peer network of investment professionals. Prior to that, she worked in academia and private sector in risk management and financial economics. She holds a Masters in Economics from Sciences Po Paris, a B.Comm Honours in Economics from the University of Cape Town and a Certificate of Entrepreneurship from Stanford University. Elizabeth is a dual citizen of South Africa and France.
Martha is a Mastercard Foundation scholar pursuing a Master’s Degree in Economics and Business at Sciences Po, France. Prior to her graduate studies, she had a two-year stint as an Investment Analyst/Fund Administrator with the Asset Management division of Databank Group, one of the leading investment companies in Ghana. Martha has a strong interest in Fund and Asset Management, Valuations, and Financial, Investment & Data Analysis. A native of Ghana, Martha’s childhood experiences have shaped her into one who is willing and enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of others by giving back all that she has been equipped with, as she explores new chapters and opportunities that will contribute towards her professional and personal growth. Martha holds a BSc. Business Administration from Ashesi University in Ghana and a Securities Industry Certification from the Ghana Stock Exchange.
